Please join us in welcoming our new clinical intern, Kelsey Tushar (she/her), to Steffen Counseling Services! She is a clinical mental health graduate student at The Seattle School, currently pursuing her Masters degree. She is now offering affordable, sliding-scale therapy sessions via telehealth for all of Washington State.
Kelsey is a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), making her well-trained and equipped to integrate evidence-based treatments into practice for trauma and abuse issues. She is very passionate about helping individuals process the pain and betrayals associated with childhood abuse and neglect. She is also prepared to help clients in areas of religious indoctrination, shame & fear, identity exploration, sexuality, gender, and dissociative disorders (DID).
In addition to her extensive knowledge, she is EMDR trained and offers sessions to help support the regulation of a client’s nervous system. Kelsey also utilizes Attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Somatic theory, and Person-Centered approaches.
