Steffen Counseling Services is thrilled to celebrate Kelsey Wyman’s graduation and the opening of her new private practice! Kelsey is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who brings a wealth of experience and a unique therapeutic approach to our practice.
From Kelsey:
In today’s fast-paced and highly individualistic society, finding a sense of connection can be a challenging journey, particularly for those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma or PTSD, and grief. I understand that navigating these struggles requires a supportive and empathetic guide, and my unique background, which includes social work training at the University of Washington, lends a wealth of knowledge on the topic of the mind/body connection.
I’m committed to helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of various issues, including relationship challenges, identity exploration, women’s and men’s issues, and self-esteem concerns. My passion for therapy extends to providing whole-hearted support to the LGBTQ+ communities, sex workers, and individuals exploring alternative relationship styles such as ENM, polyamory, and friendships. My intuitive therapeutic style values the inherent wisdom within each client, and I’m not afraid to ask direct questions, aiming to guide my clients toward a better understanding of yourself or your relationships.
As a practitioner, Kelsey employs integrative methods and emphasizes embodied skill-building within a trauma-informed therapeutic container. Each session is approached with a combination of presence and curiosity, creating the safety to hold space for the innate healing parts within you that are eager to emerge.
